The start of the third semester

Last week was skills week where i learned how to do injections, run an IV through and do male and female catheterisation. Luckily Brodie's granny (his dad's mum) could take him so i didn't have to worry about paying for the childminder. He has a great time at the childminder but its £30 per day and my bursary isn't stretching as far as i'd like this month.
I found out my next placement is at a community hospital 6 miles away and i only have to do 3 days a week so thats a huge relief. I don't know what i will do next year when i need to start going away for 9 weeks at a time. This next placement is 11weeks, i was so frightened i wa going to be sent away from Brodie, Johnny and my lovely flat. I know that it will happen eventually though!
I have this week off uni so i'm having a great time being a housewive. Its weird that last year i never appreciated how much fun it is being at home with Brodie, cleaning and baking. Now that i have such a demanding course these small things seem like the ultimate relaxation. Its not all play though as i've just been given the next assignment and its a challenge. Two essays of 1250 words plus 10 references for each. I've got a jump on things and i've almost finished all the research for my first essay. I'm going to try and get all the research done this week in Brodie's naptimes and then i'll be ready to start the first draft.
PHEW!
